Celebrating artist Dina Wind’s remarkable legacy through the works of talented female artists from Philadelphia, the second annual Wind Fellowship Exhibition at InLiquid Gallery runs through March.
From January 27 through March 4, 2023, the InLiquid Gallery will proudly host its second annual Wind Fellowship Exhibition. Hand-selected by its esteemed Artist Advisory Committee are ten emerging female Philadelphia artists: Dara Haskins, Carolina Marin Hernandez, Lisa Jungmin Lee, Kimberly Neff, Magdalena Rieders, Athena Scott, Stephanie Van Riet, Samara Weaver, Shahvteeaylah Williams, and Meg Wolensky.
This exhibition is a vibrant presentation of the work of various artists and their backgrounds, creating meaningful conversations around aspects such as identity, femininity, spirituality, and relationships with nature.
The Dina Wind Art Foundation, run by her son John Wind, works to keep the message of late artist Dina Wind’s life alive in order to foster understanding and encourage creative expression. By partnering with InLiquid through a fellowship program, it has become possible for the foundation to continue its mission of championing thriving Philadelphia artists and inspiring them to tap into their unique potential.
“InLiquid is excited to showcase a new generation of Philadelphia’s talented, diverse visual artists. We are especially thrilled to be able to use our platform and resources to support their artistry at a time that is so difficult and devoid of opportunity for so many.” – Rachel Zimmerman, InLiquid Founder and Executive Director.
“We are so pleased to be joining forces with InLiquid in providing these fellowships. Our thanks to the esteemed jury for thoughtfully selecting a diverse and deserving class. InLiquid has so much to offer its artists, and it will be exciting to watch the new members take advantage of the opportunities to grow their careers and get their work out there, both online and in person.” – John Wind, President, Dina Wind Art Foundation.
