Sound Ancestors, is Hip Hop DJ, Producer and MC Madlib’s new album. The electronic producer, Kieran Hebden, better known as Four Tet, curated, edited, and arranged its 16 tracks from a body of hundreds of recordings that Madlib sent him over a period of two years.

Jazz Gives Back: Philly Jazz Musicians Comp Vol 1 is a recent music project led by Philadelphia’s longest-running Jazz venue, Chris’ Jazz Cafe. Born out of the frustrating and challenging conditions created by the Covid pandemic, the goal of JGB was to assemble a jazz supergroup of sorts. Attracting some of Philadelphia’s most celebrated jazz musicians and have them write, record and ultimately produce a 15 track album where everyone involved could ideally reap the benefits of.
