Triumph has expanded its successful modern classic lineup by introducing the Speed 400.
Born into a prestigious bloodline with the popular Speed Twin 900 and 1200, the Triumph Speed 400 brings Triumph’s iconic style, quality, and performance to a new generation of riders. With its sleek design, advanced engineering, and rider-focused technology, the Speed 400 promises a fun, agile, and confidence-inspiring ride for enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels.
The Speed 400 features a brand-new single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with impressive power and performance. With 39.5 bhp of peak power and 27.7 lb-ft of peak torque, this engine provides a responsive and characterful power delivery and a distinctive exhaust note that adds to the overall riding experience. The six-speed gearbox ensures precise gear selection and optimal performance.
On the performance front, the Speed 400 features prominent 43mm big-piston upside-down front forks, a mono-shock rear suspension unit with an external reservoir, and powerful four-piston radial front brakes. Along with its roadster-specific geometry and wheelbase, these components contribute to an engaging and intuitive ride, complemented by a comfortable riding position that inspires confidence.
In terms of design, the Speed 400 stays true to Triumph’s timeless classic roadster silhouette. It boasts a sculpted fuel tank, a finned cylinder head, and contemporary details like the upswept silencer. The two-tone paint schemes, including Carnival Red, Caspian Blue, and Phantom Black, reflect the dynamic style of this modern classic. With its premium finishes and attention to detail, the Speed 400 exudes elegance and quality.
Triumph employs factory-fitted security features to protect your investment, such as a standard steering lock and anti-theft immobilizer. The ignition key has a transponder chip, which ensures that only the owner can start the engine.
The bike boasts rider-focused technology to improve performance and safety, including ride-by-wire throttle, switchable Traction Control, Dual-channel ABS, torque-assist clutch, and stylish new dual-format instruments.
With its high level of standard specification, long service intervals, and comprehensive warranty, the Triumph Speed 400 offers unbeatable value in its segment.
Pricing for the Triumph Speed 400 is to be announced before its U.S. dealership debut in early 2024.
