The Manayunk Festival of Lights is a week-long celebration of tradition, community, and holiday spirit.
Manayunk is gearing up to celebrate the holidays with its enchanting Festival of Lights. The celebration begins with the “8 Crazy Nights Giveaway Contest” from December 7 to December 15. This Instagram contest allows participants to win fantastic gifts from local businesses. Prizes range from spa memberships to stylish merchandise, dining and retail gift cards, and more. Each night brings a new opportunity to win, adding excitement to the holiday season.
Hop on the Jolly Trolley on December 7, 8, 9, and 14 for an extra dose of holiday cheer. This free trolley ride allows you to soak in the mesmerizing Manayunk Gets Lit light displays and decorations and provides you with delightful Hanukkah goodie bags. These bags are filled with chocolate gelt, dreidels, candies, and stickers, making it a sweet and festive ride for all.
As the holiday culminates on December 14, join Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz and the Manayunk community at 7 p.m. for a special candle-lighting ceremony in Canal View Park at 4418 Main Street. Here, you can be part of the beautiful tradition of lighting the Menorah while surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of over 150,000 Main Street lights.
Chabad-Lubavitch of Northwest Philadelphia, serving various neighborhoods, including Manayunk, is proud to partner with Manayunk for this festive occasion. The community is invited to come together and share the warmth and joy of the holidays.
“Celebrating in the Manayunk community is a wonderful way to end the eight days of celebrating. The Menorah will shine bright in Canal View Park. We invite everyone in the community to join us.” – Rabbi Gurevitz.
The Manayunk Festival of Lights is an opportunity to create cherished memories and celebrate the Festival of Lights with friends and neighbors in the vibrant setting of Manayunk.
