Work to Ride’s Philadelphia Polo Classic returns to Fairmount Park on September 21, 2024. The Philadelphia Polo Classic is essential for raising funds for the Work to Ride program, which has launched its “Race to the Finish” campaign to build an indoor riding arena at the Chamounix Equestrian Center. This campaign aims to raise $2.7 million by June 22, 2024, ensuring that local youth can continue their equestrian training regardless of weather conditions. The arena construction begins in July 2024. A dedicated donor will match donations up to $1 million.
Local polo champion Kareem Rosser will again lead his team in two exciting matches, including the Feature Match against the world-renowned polo player Nic Roldan. This match will also showcase players from the Work to Ride program, which has nurtured numerous talented young athletes. Among these rising stars are Alyssa Perren, set to join Harvard University’s polo team; Sariah Harris, a semifinalist in the Women’s US Open Polo Tournament; and Mosiah Gravesande, a champion with the University of North Texas team.
The First Match will feature current and alumni players from the Work to Ride program, highlighting their skills and the program’s impact. These matches are streamed live on Chukker.TV.
In addition to the polo matches, the event will offer plenty of entertainment, food, and experiences for its guests. You can also participate in fundraising efforts ahead of the event, with top teams and individuals receiving exclusive prizes, including VIP experiences and gourmet dinners.

Gates open at 10:00 AM, with the First Match starting at 11:00 AM, followed by halftime festivities and the Feature Match at 2:00 PM. The event concludes with an award ceremony and gates closing at 4:00 PM.
