The Tenango Rum Pop-Up “Sun’s Out, Rum’s Out” summer cocktail series, presented by Sofia Deleon, the Founder and Owner of the renowned Tenango Rum promises to be a delightful exploration of unique cocktails inspired by the flavors of Guatemala, paired with delectable food offerings from some of Philly’s finest patios.
Tenango Rum kicked off the series at Martha on June 20th and it will continue monthly through August. In collaboration with Philly Craft Ice, these events allow guests to savor exquisite rum-based creations, mingle with Sofia Deleon, the visionary founder, and revel in the vibrant summer atmosphere.
What sets this series apart is the careful curation of cocktails, each featuring distinctive Guatemalan flavors such as cocoa, banana, coffee, almond, and various tropical fruits. These flavorful concoctions offer guests an experience that transcends typical rum-based drinks.
The remaining schedule for the Tenango Rum Summer Pop-Up Series includes Thursday, June 27th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Butcher Bar (2034 Chestnut Street), Friday, July 26th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Jet Wine Bar (1525 South Street) and Saturday, August 3rd from 5 pm to 7 pm at La Chinesca (1036 Spring Garden Street).
Thursday’s “Sun’s Out, Rum’s Out” pop-up at Butcher Bar features tempting drink specials, including Tenango and Cash and It Takes Two To Tenango, for $12 each. The food specials include Bananas Foster Ice Cream for $10, Smoked Pork Wings for $12, and Pina Colada Bread Pudding for $10.
