Name: Talya Hailey McCaulley

Occupation: Event and Portrait Photographer.  

Current city: I currently live in Philadelphia.

Born and raised there or imported? I am originally from Boston. 

What is your connection to your current city? I came to Philly in ’06 to attend Drexel University. Class of ‘11.

What’s your favorite restaurant? I didn’t think I could answer this, but one of my favorite restaurants is North Third in the Northern Liberties area.

Best place to shop? This is impossible to answer… I live in Philadelphia! The restaurant scene is one of my favorite things of the city.

What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about your city? I always suggest to people visiting to go to our art museum. I always try to go to whatever city I’m in, and ours is still a top favorite.

What is something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should? Life is a marathon. And consistency is key. 

What makes your city, your city? What does Talya Hailey McCaulley absolutely love about it? Philly is a very unique city. The energy can be rough, but I appreciate so much spending my young adult years here. I grew up here. I met my husband and had our child here. And my business is here. I have been able to cover so many cool and unique events over my career and it makes me appreciate the city even more.
