The Suits & Sazeracs IV cocktail competition returns to showcase Philadelphia’s best bartending talent and support a meaningful cause. Scheduled for April 8 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the elegant Burnham Ballroom at the Hotel Palomar, this event is the epitome of cocktails with a conscience.
In collaboration with the award-winning Bluebird Distilling, Suits & Sazeracs IV offers guests an enchanting evening where Philly’s top mixologists vie for the title and $1.5k in cash prizes. Judged by both industry experts and attendees, this competition highlights the creative prowess behind Philadelphia’s bar counters, with each cocktail crafted from Bluebird Distilling’s Straight Rye Whiskey.
Competitors from renowned establishments like Butcher Bar, Stratus Rooftop Lounge, and Square 1682, among others, will demonstrate their mastery of the Sazerac, aiming to impress both the cocktail lovers in attendance and a panel of esteemed judges, including spirits and travel writer Brian Freedman. This unique assembly of talent underlines the event’s commitment to excellence in culinary and charitable realms.
Suits & Sazeracs IV celebrates style, philanthropy, and community engagement. As part of the kickoff for Henry A. Davidsen’s 6th Annual Suit Drive, this event bridges the world of fine tailoring with the art of mixology, supporting local nonprofit The Wardrobe’s mission to empower individuals through professional attire. Last year, the event proudly raised $7,500, and this year, the ambition is to surpass $10,000, alongside collecting over 10,000 items of professional wear.
Guests of the evening will also enjoy a live jazz band, a silent auction, and even a Best Dressed Guest Award, judged by notable figures. This year’s theme encourages attendees to don their most vibrant and dapper Southern ensembles, embodying the spirit of New Orleans right in the heart of Philadelphia.
