The Annual South Street Fest is back for 2023 with a brand new bag of features and festivities for all ages.
The South Street Headhouse District will host their annual South Street Fest on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11 am to 7 pm featuring international food and drinks, handmade crafts, and a variety of vendors.
The festival runs along South Street from 2nd to 8th Streets. Several restaurants will serve diverse international cuisines during the festival, while local businesses will provide festival sales and in-store events.
The Kids Zone will include collaborations with the Philadelphia Union MLS team and giant board games from the Queen & Rook Game Cafe. The Dream Eerie, also celebrating its grand opening during the festival, and Atomic City Comics are joining forces for a Free Comic Book Day celebration with a costume contest, trivia, prizes, and a DJ.
This year, South Street Fest is introducing Artist Row, which will be curated by Crown of Creation, Queen & Rook Game Cafe, and the South Street Art Mart. Artist Row will showcase over 20 new and emerging artists and artisans.
Head to The Twisted Tail and Paddy Whacks Pub at the east end of South Street Fest wearing your Fascinator and enjoy mint juleps while watching the Kentucky Derby and other sports games on a 20 foot TV truck in the middle of South Street. At the west end of the festival, join the German vibes at Brauhaus Schmitz’s Maifest for delicious biers, brats, and dancing around the Maipole.
