Celebrating a year of mystery and intrigue, Red Rūm Theater celebrates its anniversary with “Murder at the Perk”, a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Philadelphia’s Red Rūm Theater, the city’s only murder mystery venue, is gearing up to mark its first anniversary in style. As a part of this milestone celebration, Without A Cue Productions is set to unveil an exciting new murder mystery show titled “Murder at the Perk,” inspired by the beloved TV series “Friends.” This captivating production promises an immersive experience that transports the audience into the heart of the mystery.
Standing out from the crowd of traditional theaters in the city, Red Rūm Theater has carved a niche for itself by offering an engaging and interactive space where cast members seamlessly interact with the audience. Without A Cue Productions found a perfect home in Philadelphia in January 2023. They transformed a cabaret-style room into an enchanting venue for a wide range of shows, parodies, events, and more, thus giving birth to the Red Rūm Theater.
“Murder at the Perk” is poised to be an unforgettable performance that reunites everyone’s favorite ’90s friends. This show takes the audience on a nostalgic journey as iconic characters gather for the grand opening of “Perk Place” in Philadelphia. However, their reunion takes a mysterious turn, and it’s now up to the audience to crack the case at the Perk!
“Murder at the Perk” offers two showtimes at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., with tickets already on sale. Guests can fully immerse themselves in the magic of murder mystery, interact with the cast, capture selfies, and even snap their own mugshots. Pops McCann Distillery provides delicious cocktails to enhance the experience. Attendees of the special opening night showing will also enjoy a mini cocktail hour and a delightful “murdery” surprise.
At the end of the evening, the audience gets to put their detective skills to the test as they try to solve the mystery. One lucky winner will win a prize and a coveted spot on the company’s “Mugshot” wall. It’s important to note that this is not a dinner event, but guests can indulge in drinks and light desserts available throughout the evening.
