The vibrant beats of hip-hop are about to reverberate through the Germantown Arts District as they gear up to celebrate the genre’s 50th Anniversary in a grand style. The Germantown Arts District’s August Fourth Friday event is all set to honor the impact of hip-hop on the Philadelphia area, recognizing the city’s significant role in shaping the genre. On August 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Kinesics Dance Dynamics Theatre will host the eagerly awaited August Fourth Friday: Ode to Hip-Hop Event.
The Kinesics Dance Dynamics Theatre will come alive with various activities and performances during the upcoming Ode to Hip-Hop Event. Attendees can test their hip-hop knowledge in the Battle of the Brains Hip-Hop Game Night from 6 PM to 8 PM, enjoy tasty treats from Burger Bullies available from 6 PM to 10 PM, and dance to groovy hip-hop beats spun by DJ Mia Maze from 7 PM to 10 PM. Additionally, self-taught pop artist Jae Martin will showcase captivating artwork featuring iconic hip-hop figures from different eras.

From 6 PM to 9 PM, explore a variety of local and Germantown vendors at the Vendor Extravaganza, offering unique products and treasures.
