What is your connection to your current city? I’ve worked in Philadelphia since I graduated High School. I know every possible traffic-hack on that commute! I also lived on South Broad for a period in my twenties.

What’s your favorite restaurant? It’s a tough call because there are so many to choose from, but I would say Talula’s Garden. My husband and I love going there for brunch; it’s always excellent, the setting is lovely, and the staff are always a delight. It doesn’t get much better than Aimee Olexy and Stephen Starr!

Best place to shop? I appreciate the incredible boutique scene in Philadelphia so much and spent much of my career promoting the city’s fashion and retail scene. Joan Shepp is always inspiring, and Boyds is as well. There are so many unique shops, especially in Old City on 3rd Street. Petit Jardin en Ville is another favorite for flowers and some Parisian influence.

What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about your city? Something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should? I will never stop talking about how magical The Rittenhouse Hotel is. Everyone may already know this, but they need a reminder! I have loved it since I was little, had the experience of a lifetime getting married there, and I love everything from the Library Bar to the Mary Cassatt Tea Room & Garden, to the incredible views sitting along the windows at Lacroix overlooking Rittenhouse Square.

What makes your city Michelle Conron’s city? What do you absolutely love about it? I love seeing the city in bloom. Our office overlooks the Art Museum and is surrounded by the most beautiful trees. I love to hike the trails in the Wissahickon and love how close we are to Fairmount Park, which will host the 3rd Annual Philadelphia Polo Classic on September 21st, benefiting Work to Ride. Our city is a combination of a lot of little things that tell a big story and overall, I love our accessibility to nature nestled within so much history. We work with the Global Philadelphia Association, and I learn something new from them every day about our city’s historic sites.
