As the festive season envelops Philadelphia, The Twisted Tail is all set to host its Holiday Blues Brunch. Scheduled for the weekend of December 16th and 17th, from noon to 3 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, guests will be treated to a musical feast with Philly-raised pianist Reverend Chris performing on the 16th and Grammy-nominated Bluesman Randy Lippincott taking the stage on the 17th. Their performances will revolve around blues renditions of classic holiday tunes, infusing traditional melodies with a funky jazz twist.
The Twisted Tail will transform into a winter haven decked out in festive decor to enhance the cozy, rustic charm of the venue. In line with the holiday spirit, the bar will feature traditional hot cocktails, perfect for sipping alongside their acclaimed Southern comfort brunch menu.
The Holiday Blues Brunch menu is a homage to Southern cuisine, featuring delectable items such as Crawfish Mac and Cheese and Cheesy Grits enriched with sharp cheddar, bacon crumbles, and an egg. Other highlights include the Chicken and Waffle, enveloped in bourbon batter and served with winter spiced-maple syrup, and the classic Brioche French Toast.
Guests can elevate their dining experience with seasonal cocktails or the Hot Apple Cider, a blend of winter-spiced bourbon topped with cinnamon whipped cream.
Post-brunch, The Twisted Tail’s resident Mikey Junior Band will keep the blues rhythm going with their performance starting at 8 pm. For those planning to dine out on Christmas Eve, The Twisted Tail remains open for a la carte dining from 11 am to 9 pm, featuring live music by Reverend Chris from 5 pm onwards.
