Join the vibrant Gratefully Germantown event and experience the joy of supporting local creatives and small businesses on Small Business Saturday.
Gratefully Germantown is a celebration of community, local entrepreneurship, and artistic talent. On November 25, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Germantown Arts District (GAD) will transform Germantown Avenue into a hub of local culture and commerce. This initiative, set against the backdrop of Small Business Saturday, highlights the importance of supporting local businesses, especially in the culturally rich and historic neighborhood of Germantown, Philadelphia.
At Gratefully Germantown, guests can enjoy a festive shopping experience with local vendors offering unique, handcrafted items. The event promises to be family-friendly, with special holiday activities designed for children and interactive art activities for all ages. Adding to the vibrancy, local musicians and DJs will provide a lively soundtrack, making the event a sensory delight and a festive kickoff to the holiday season.
This event also serves as a prelude to the GAD’s Giving Tuesday Initiative, “Art in the Heart of Germantown,” which concludes on November 28. This endeavor aims to harness the collective spirit of generosity within Germantown. The focus on gratitude and community connection during Gratefully Germantown is about immediate support for local businesses and artists and building momentum for the upcoming GAD Art Festival in April 2023.
GAD Founder Kristen Clark emphasizes the importance of consciously celebrating local businesses and creatives, “Celebrating our local businesses and creative entrepreneurs intentionally is something we need more practice at. Gratefully, Germantown will give us an opportunity for just that and for creating something as a community.”
Gratefully Germantown is an opportunity to practice this celebration and to create something meaningful as a community, spotlighting the importance of coming together to support and appreciate the talent and resilience of local entrepreneurs and artists while contributing to a community-driven, vibrant holiday season.
