SNACKTIME and Middle Child Clubhouse collaborate for Funk on Front, a day-long block party to celebrate the 4th of July.
Philly is hands down, the place to be on the Fourth of July. What could be better than celebrating the nation’s birth in the nation’s birthplace? Besides, the City of Brotherly Love knows how to party, and there’s no better proof of that than Funk on Front, an Independence Day extravaganza featuring fantastic live music, fancy eats and tasty treats, coming to Fishtown, Monday, July 4 from 11 am – 5 pm.
Funk on Front is the brainchild of heralded Philly favorite SNACKTIME, who are bringing their unique brand of funk, punk, jazz and R&B to another Philly fave, Middle Child Clubhouse, 1232 N. Front St., in a collaboration worthy of a tip of the tricorne from the founding fathers.
The one-day-only pop-up festival will feature music from SNACKTIME, Joshua Lang, Mochi Robinson, and Great Time. At the same time, craft cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic options will be available from Middle Child Clubhouse and JamBrü Ferments. Le Bouchon will be on hand offering hard-to-find wines, along with ala carte bites and other delights from Liberty Kitchen, Pitruco Pizza, and 1-900-Ice-Cream.
During the Funk, Front Street will be cordoned off between Girard Avenue and Thompson street, allowing for plenty of room to get your groove and grub on.
Tickets are just $30, and the event is free for kids under 12.
