Dock Street Brewing Company is dedicating its summer efforts to support PAWS, the city’s largest rescue partner, by selling its new brew, Found Friends IPA. For every four-pack of the 6.5% hazy IPA sold, Dock Street will donate one dollar to PAWS, which runs adoption centers in Old City and Bustleton. The beer’s label art is a heartfelt tribute featuring portraits of the Dock Street team’s pets, including dogs and cats, highlighting the personal connection the brewery staff has with animal welfare.
The launch event on May 30th promises to be a delightful gathering for both beer enthusiasts and dog lovers. Guests can enjoy brewery tours led by Russell, get live pet portraits from Char & Whiskers for $35, and interact with adoptable dogs from PAWS. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for the nonprofit, encouraging attendees to learn about fostering and volunteering opportunities.
In addition to the beer release, Dock Street is making Saturdays this summer extra special for dog owners. Starting June 1st, the brewery will offer a dog menu every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., featuring scrambled eggs ($4), chicken & rice ($6), and a beef patty ($5). Beer-loving dog owners can bring their beloved friends to enjoy bites and beers at the Brewery Bar.
The 2023 batch of Found Friends IPA raised over $2,000 for PAWS, and this year, Dock Street aims to exceed that amount. The collaboration between Dock Street Brewing Company and PAWS highlights the brewery’s commitment to the community and their love for pets and dedication to making a difference.
Party with Dock Street Brewing Company on May 30th for an evening of fun, beer, and support for a great cause. Enjoy the new Found Friends IPA, meet adorable adoptable dogs, and participate in a celebration that benefits Philly’s homeless and at-risk pets.
