Forsythia is celebrating its third anniversary with a series kick-off Industry Night.
Forsythia, a French bar and restaurant located in Old City, celebrates its third anniversary on August 29 with Industry Night, a series of themed cocktail celebrations. The event will also feature complimentary food, cheese demonstrations, and music from the restaurant’s vinyl collection.
Every month, Chef Christopher Kearse’s acclaimed restaurant and locally-owned and operated adjacent businesses such as Liberty Kitchen, Messina Social Club, Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen, and Steel & Stone gather for a night of collaboration and networking. This time around, restaurant industry peeps can expect a slew of exciting additions including guest bartender Donnie Browning of Bridget Foy’s slinging ‘80s-inspired craft cocktails (think: Alabama Slammer and Purple Hooter but modernized and elevated). For food, Chef Emily Chellew of Cry Baby Pasta will team up with Chef Kearse for a curated menu of complimentary snacks and small plates.
Forsythia’s Third Anniversary Party will feature DJ Jack Tripper (aka Guy Smith) spinning ’80’s-focused vinyl throughout the evening, Julia Birnbaum presenting cheese and pairings demos with complimentary samples, and a birthday cake cutting to commemorate three years in business.
Forsythia will continue to host a different guest bartender each month for Industry Night, held on the final Monday of each month. The bar will also continue to include local purveyors through demos, food collaborations, performances and more.
