Fly Eagles Fly! The Philadelphia Eagles search for cheerleaders for 2022 with open call auditions on Saturday, March 12.
Just in time to start thinking about scrimmages and pre-season games and vintage jerseys and losing bets, the people in the front office at the Linc are just beginning their search for new and additional Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders in time for the season 2022 kick-off.
Of course, the idea is a hunt for talented dancing candidates to join the team for Eagles games at home and on the road. Apparently, as noted in the Eagles’ new press notes, that dropped today, there is also an emphasis on everything from “goodwill military tours to serving as brand ambassadors,” in its upcoming search for members who could “have a unique and inspiring platform to connect with Eagles fans everywhere.”
To kick off the entire audition process, the Eagles brain trust is hosting two workshops on Tuesday, March 15 in person at Lincoln Financial Field and Wednesday, March 16, virtually, via Zoom. The workshops will prepare prospective candidates for the audition process, which formally begins with the Virtual Open Call Auditions on Saturday, March 12.
During these workshops, all participants will have the opportunity to learn the Eagles’ cheerleaders’ dance routine, which will be part of the Virtual Open Call Auditions. They will also gain insight into what it means to be an official brand ambassador, and receive professional tips on how to film the audition video for the Virtual Open Call. Interested candidates can submit their Virtual Open Call Audition videos online between Saturday, March 12 and Saturday, April 2.
Most importantly, in the notes for the auditions, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders are made up of both women and men.
“They are professional, talented, community-minded individuals that represent the Eagles organization year-round. As brand ambassadors, the cheerleaders have a unique platform to serve as role models through their involvement in Eagles youth programs, raise awareness and funds for important causes such as the Eagles Autism Foundation, and communicate initiatives as media representatives for the team. They are driven to make a positive impact on the people and world around them and embrace meaningful engagement with fans. As entertainers, these highly-skilled performers are an integral part of the Philadelphia Eagles fan experience and gameday entertainment. The team is diverse, socially conscious, and celebrates authenticity.”
