Experience the warmth of fall with the Dutch After Dark menu, featuring PA Dutch classics, cozy cocktails, and daily brunch.
East Passyunk is gleaming a little brighter this season as The Dutch, renowned for its Pennsylvania Dutch classics, extends an invitation to its cherished dinner series, Dutch After Dark. As autumn unfurls its cozy charm, this beloved breakfast-through-lunch locale transforms nightly into a culinary haven, enticing patrons with its newly unveiled prix-fixe menu, hearty fall cocktails, and the promise of brunch available every day of the week.
Dutch After Dark, a concept that has already nestled into the hearts of East Passyunk’s foodies, emerges with an updated palette of flavors crafted for crisper evenings. For $56 a person, with an additional $18 for an optional wine pairing, guests can embark on a three-course journey orchestrated by Chef-Owners Lee Styer and Kevin Watters.
As the evening begins, diners are greeted with a choice of first courses—perhaps the Country Style Paté, paired with a tangy mostarda and fond’s sourdough bread, or the Beet Cured Arctic Charr that melds dil cream cheese and cucumber on garlic rye toast. The narrative deepens with the second course, where choices like the robust Beef Bourguignon with smashed potatoes and a red wine jus share the stage with the delicately plated Skate Francese, resting atop butternut squash risotto.
The culinary tale culminates in a dessert course that pays homage to fall’s quintessential flavors. The Pumpkin Cheesecake is a testament to the season, with its gingersnap crust and butterscotch caramel, while the Apple Tart is a nod to traditional orchard harvests, complete with vanilla ice cream and an almond oat streusel.
But the Dutch After Dark experience isn’t confined to the plate. The restaurant’s new cocktail menu reads like a love letter to autumn, with creations such as the Rosemary Me Honey and Chief of Staff—each a blend of seasonally inspired ingredients designed to complement the evening’s meal and warm the spirit.
