The 2022 lineup of Ducati E-Bikes includes a selection of models: the MIG-S, the TK-01RR, and the TK-01RR Limited Edition, as well as the new FUTA and FUTA Limited Edition.
Known for their high-end motorcycles, Ducati ventured into the world of electric-powered, pedal-assist bicycles, or E-Bikes, in recent years partnering with fellow Italian brand and e-bike maker, Thok. The Ducati MIG-S (MSRP $5,795.00), with its 630Wh Shimano battery, is a versatile and fun All Mountain bike that can handle any trail. For 2022, the electric mountain bike has been updated with a new sporty design which was created by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with the Centro Stile Ducati. The MIG-S also features a more powerful 2.6 kg Shimano EP8 engine as well as updated components that include an adjustable RockShox 35 RC fork and RockShox SuperDeluxe shock absorbers, an updated 12-speed SRAM transmission, 4-piston SRAM Guide T with 203 mm discs brake set up, 29″ front and 27.5″ THOK e-plus wheels equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S tires
The Ducati TK-01RR e-enduro bike (MSRP $8,95.00) is also powered by the Shimano EP8 engine and features a verticalized downtube made of aluminum that houses an integrated 630Wh Shimano battery, a 12-speed transmission, and Shimano XT brakes. The brake setup on the TK-01RR employs four pistons working in harmony with the 203 mm discs that have an “Ice technologies” cooling function. The suspension includes 180mm Öhlins RXF 38 forks up front and a 170 mm rear Öhlins TTX shock absorber.
The Ducati TK-01RR Limited Edition (MSRP $10,995.00), with only 169 units produced, elects components such as Öhlins DH38 dual-plate motorcycle-style air fork with 180 mm travel, Öhlins TTX spring shock absorber with 170 mm travel, an 11-speed Shimano Di2 XT rear electronic shifter, and Magura MT7 brakes with 220 mm discs at the front and 203 mm at the rear as well as Crankbrothers’ specially-formatted Synthesis wheels. The set-up is completed by a Renthal carbon handlebar, a Fizik saddle with an integrated tool holder, and finally a carbon battery cover and skid plate.
The new Ducati Futa E-Bike (MSRP $8,295.00) features a sport endurance carbon fiber monocoque frame spec that has been reoriented for aerodynamics. The grey and black paint are mated to Ducati Red highlights, with a premium profiled tube, seat post, and fork liners. The Futa uses the lightweight (3.98 kg) 250W FSA System HM 1.0 rear wheel hub engine. 5 assistance levels can be controlled from the handlebar-mounted Garmin device. The 250Wh FSA battery is integrated into the downtube and an optional 250Wh range extender.
The FSA K-Force WE groupset on the Futa features electronic shifting, powerful disc brakes, and adjustable carbon levers. The carbon fiber Vision AGX30 wheels are equipped with 35mm Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR tires.
The Futa Limited Edition (only 50 units) weighs in at 12.2 kg and is designed with a Ducati Corse racing-inspired livery. This special model has all the features of the regular Futa but incorporates upgraded components. The stand-out feature is the Campagnolo Super Record EPS electromechanical groupset is exceptional because it boasts a quality build with materials like carbon, titanium, and ceramic bearings. The Vision Metron 40 SL wheels are excellent for their weight-aerodynamics ratio while the aerodynamic Vision Metron handlebar is both sleek and practical.
For the MIG-S, the TK-01RR, and TK-01RR Limited Edition, the Shimano Etube Project App, allows you to customize the motor’s character to your needs via smartphone. The FSA app, available for the FUTA and FUTA Limited Edition, makes it simple and easy to view statistics, system status, remaining battery life and charge status. The app also allows you to download any software updates or communicate with FSA service centers around the world.
