Celebrating a Quarter Century of Cuban Flavor and Culture

Cuba Libre opened its doors in 2000 on Second Street in Philadelphia’s Old City. Owners Barry Gutin and Larry Cohen grew the brand by opening new locations in Atlantic City, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. Gutin and Cohen are inspired by Cuban culture and traditions, and the restaurant celebrates that spirit of freedom. Cuba Libre translates to “a free Cuba.”

For the last 25 years, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar has been captivating diners with its dynamic Cuban atmosphere, food, and cocktails. In 2025, the restaurant commemorates its 25th anniversary with a series of celebrations and is excited to keep the party going.
