Cookbooks & Cocktails, hosted by Sofia Deleon and Resa Mueller, will be an evening of rum, recipes, and revelry.
Marking the grand finale of the Sisterly Love Collective’s riveting “Cookbooks & Convos” series, the spotlight now turns to “Cookbooks & Cocktails”, setting the stage for a fusion of food and mixology. At the heart of this culinary event will be the talents of Sofia Deleon, the genius behind Tenango Rum, and the celebrated Central American street food sensation El Merkury. Resa Mueller of R&D cocktail bar fame partners with her for this grand soiree. The rendezvous point? R&D, located at 1206 Frankford Ave, will welcome guests at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 22.
The Cookbooks & Cocktails Party promises an unforgettable evening, brimming with Tenango Rum-infused cocktails that are as premium as they come. But it isn’t just about the drinks. Mixologists and culinary authors Lynnette Marrero, Alba Huerta, and Natasha David are losing their expertise to the night. As attendees sway to the rhythm of stirring and shaking, they’ll have the chance to interact with these personalities, securing autographs and insights from their cookbook adventures.
A ticket, priced at $75 per person, is more than just an entry pass. It’s an invitation to indulge in a Delola Spritz as a welcoming gesture. But the surprises don’t end there. Guests will leave with not one but two cocktail books to add to their collection: “Drink Lightly” by Natasha David and “Julep” by Alba Huerta.
As the evening progresses, the cash bar will open its gates, featuring an exquisite menu inspired by the “Drink Lightly” and “Julep” pages. Remember, a tip for the bartender is a toast to their craft.
