Favorite restaurant in Philly? My favorite restaurant is Suraya. Their kababs are the closest to what I get in India. They taste like home to me.
Best place to shop in Philly (food, clothes, gifts, jewelry, etc). Select one? I absolutely love to get jewelry and gifts (for myself and others) from Bella Turka. Everything in the shop is so beautiful and unique.
What is your one favorite “best kept secret” about Philly? Something that you and only a few others know about but everyone should…
I’ve only lived here for a very short time so I would love to find out about the secret places! The one place that I love the most and thought was a secret is Sampan Graffiti Bar on 13th street.
What makes Philly your Philly? What do you absolutely love about the city? It took me a while to adjust, start my business and make friends in Philly when I moved here 5 years ago but once I began to feel at home, Philly actually opened it’s arms out to me. I feel like I belong now! I love the different cultures that change from block to block and the different neighborhoods. I have lived near Rittenhouse, near Chinatown and now I am in South Philly. Every time I have moved it has felt like I’ve changed cities. It’s wonderful.
