City Winery Philadelphia, known for its innovative pairing dinners, is taking a flavorful detour this month with a “Bourbon & BBQ Pairing” dinner to bid farewell to the summer. Following the success of their previous wine pairing dinners – “Taste of Italy” and “Taste of the Sea”– City Winery’s “Bourbon & BBQ Pairing” promises an evening of culinary indulgence. Scheduled for August 30, 2023, this five-course plated BBQ dinner will be expertly curated by Chef Robert Gindin. The evening will also feature a bourbon tasting led by the accomplished drink expert Mike Potalivo.
The menu for the evening is a celebration of diverse BBQ styles, with each of the five courses spotlighting a distinct type of BBQ, ranging from the tangy Carolina BBQ to the bold flavors of Texas BBQ and even the unique charm of Japanese BBQ. What elevates this experience is the detailed pairing of each dish with a carefully crafted bourbon-focused cocktail, resulting in a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.
