Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Somerset Splits and Patchwork’s Boozy Ice Cream Floats.
July is National Ice Cream Month, and Patchwork and Somerset Splits collaborate with Boozy Ice Cream Floats. Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia’s Patchwork restaurant and bar is partnering with Port Richmond’s ice cream and other frozen treats provider Somerset Splits for a weekly series of spiked ice cream every Wednesday in July from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Crafted by Patchwork’s talented bar team and featuring Somerset Splits’ homemade small-batch ice cream, each of the four featured floats pays homage to a classic cocktail or iconic dessert. First up is the Peach Bellini, a refreshing float that combines peach ice cream, prosecco, peach syrup, and soda. This float is perfect for those who love brunch.
Next is Mr. Handsome, a unique float inspired by the Manhattan Special. In this satisfying treat, you’ll enjoy the combination of vanilla ice cream, espresso, cola, and Fernet. You’ll love the drinkable version if you like the classic Bananas Foster. It features banana ice cream, spiced rum, and whipped cream.
Finally, there is the White Russian float for all the guys out there. This decadent float is made with coffee ice cream, vodka, Kahlua, and whipped cream.
And for those that like some sweets with their sweets, throughout July, Patchwork also presents their mouthwatering Fudge Brownie during dinner service. Served with a generous scoop of Somerset Splits’ creamy vanilla or Milky Way ice cream, or even both, this delectable dessert is garnished with walnuts, dates, and buttercream icing.
