This March, Black Heart Gallery in Lansdale, PA, will present a solo exhibition by Philadelphia-based artist Bell Luna Powers, an emerging creative force whose work masterfully blends film photography, poetry, and alternative processes. Opening with a reception on Friday, March 7, from 6 pm to 9 pm, the exhibit will run through March 28, giving art lovers a rare opportunity to experience Powers’ deeply personal yet universally resonant storytelling.
Known for her dreamlike photographic compositions and poetic visual narratives, Bell Luna Powers crafts images that feel like fragments of memory—distorted, delicate, and charged with emotion. Her work challenges the way we perceive time, relationships, and identity, capturing fleeting moments that feel both ephemeral and eternal. By incorporating handwritten poetry, layered textures, and experimental darkroom techniques, she transforms photography into a tangible reflection of the subconscious mind.

Powers, originally from Northern New Jersey, now calls Philadelphia home and has steadily gained recognition for her distinctive artistic approach. A graduate of Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture, she holds a BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History. Her fascination with memory’s impermanence and existential themes informs much of her work, which often feels like an attempt to preserve what inevitably fades.
Bell Luna Powers at Black Heart Gallery
Black Heart Gallery, is known for its fusion of contemporary art and tattoo culture, making it an ideal setting for Powers’ explorations of permanence and transience. Her photography and mixed-media pieces, which straddle the worlds of fine art and intimate self-exploration, resonate within a space that embraces both body art’s lasting impact and the fleeting nature of human experience.

This exhibition is a meditation on the fragile nature of existence and the deep connections we create through art.
Black Heart Gallery is located at 305 W. Main Street, Lansdale, PA. Bell Luna Powers will be on exhibit from March 7 through March 28.
