Unleash your inner audiophile at 48 Record Bar, Philly’s newest hi-fi listening room and cocktail bar with diverse events, craft cocktails, and global wines.
Listen up! 48 Record Bar is Philadelphia’s new hi-fi listening room and cocktail bar. Located above Old City’s legendary Sassafras, this high-tech bar is committed to providing diverse events that cater to a wide range of tastes, including listening parties, special guest selectors, album and cocktail pairings, record release parties, live performances, and more.
The new hot spot is going to be a hub of activity this January, with several exciting events scheduled for the month. The Bowie Side By Side night on January 10th will feature classic David Bowie album sides all night. On January 17th, Alina Pleskova will host the 48 Record Bar Reading Series, with tickets available on Dice.fm. The Unshazamables will play an exclusive show for members on January 24th. There will also be an Andre 3000 morning deep listening event on January 28th, featuring a special listening session of his album New Blue Sun, along with pour-over coffee from Thank You Thank You Coffee.
In addition to the musical happenings, the chic 37-seat, second-floor space boasts an elevated beverage program featuring craft cocktails with a robust selection of bottled beer and global wines, along with perfectly paired small bites.
“We are thrilled to see our vision for 48 Record Bar actually fulfilling and coming to life. Our main goal for events was to ensure 48 always feels like a place you’re going to check out something new or hear something a different way than maybe you’ve heard it before,” said Creative Director Joey Sweeney.
To make the experience even more special, 48 Record Bar has launched a tiered membership program designed to encourage deep listening and community-building among music lovers in the city and region. Members will enjoy a custom-selected Record Of The Month plus first access to all ticketed events, a standing invite to Member’s Only Nights, and other exclusive perks.
